Indian film industry produces over 5000 movies in over 500 dialects. Thus far, I have not seen any language in India that a movie is not produced in Bollywood

Desi Talk – An Integrated Website of News India Times, Desi Talk and The Indian American. you get news from 3 weekly NRI newspapers in one place. I’ll give this a “worth the click rating”.
Samachar – I liked this site because it gave a clean look at the various headlines from multiple newspapers and media sites. Not only do you get news, you get financial, Sports, News, and my favorite movies.. This site is absolutely worth your visit to get a great idea of what is going on in the South Asian community. I’ve added it to my sidebar as a favorite Link for India
India CD – A clean digest like setup to get news from India. Worth the visit.. is on Facebook as well.
The South Asian Times – If you live in the NY/NJ Metro area this newspaper can be found for free at the almost every Indian Store. The On-line version is worth a visit to get your news fix of the Indian Sub-Continent
Jagran City News – Up to the minute web news for Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Banglore and the various areas within each of these Indian cities. News, culture, parenting, Feng Shui related articles. Worth the visit. Clean interface and good content, can’t beat that combination.

My Desi Hits – The premier source of MP3 and movies for you. I’ve seen many MP3 sites come and go by far this is a 4 star site. 2009 movies are now downloadable for free now! Register and check it out!
RK Mania – Now this is a huge site if you want to sample Hindi Music of all flavors from pop albums, remix, devotional, and of course the top 100 by Month. Love this site and go here over and over again
Free Hindi MP3 – A large number of links related to Indian Music. Main substance of this site is the movie reviews but there are a large number of links for music as well.
Little India – Excellent Monthly publication for NRI in North America. I love this site, because it’s tilt towards the ABCD. Of course it’s also a great monthly publications for the IBCD’s in the crowd.. Which I happen to be one.. So have you figured out what IBCD is?
Interesting South Asian Sites
NRIOL – Non Resident On-Line. A really interesting site with a variety of information including News, Channels. Worth the visit.
India Glitz – Portal Hindi and South Indian (Tamil, Telugu sites). Each site is dedicated to news, previews, screen savers.
Mona Darling – New Jersey based Desi Portal. I like the site, just the auto start of music when you go to the home page can be kind of annoying. Worth the visit.
Marathi Vishwa – This central NJ based organization is an excellent cultural organization with a focus on the Marathi origin. this organization promotes cultural events that exemplify Hinduism and the Marathi culture.
Travel and Tourism
Whether you are planning your trip there, or are there, or been there, this is the starting point for your Indian Tourist experience.
Tour India – New site that is pretty good for Indian Government links.
India Mike – An excellent forum for your travels to India. If you are planning a trip to India this is the place for you to start. I utilized this site a few years ago for my trip to India and am a follower of this site.
Indian Railways – A government of India undertaking this site provides reservations and information to The Indian Railway system which is the largest in the world. When in India, this still remains the most convenient way to travel across the country. At this site, you can make reservations BEFORE you reach India.
Incredible India! – This is an amazing site for pictures and information for your trip to India. The pictures on this site are a must see for anyone..
All India Travel – Whether it be North or South India, this site gives you excellent tourism ideas.
India Travel Portal: This is a good site for tourism and to book tours in India.
Lonely Planet – India Page has a tremendous amount of travel information. This is truly the A to Z of India related travel information.
NY Times Articles – The Times has a great travel section for India, including when, where and travel guide.. worth the click!
